When you start remodeling your bathroom, it is a good idea to have a plan in place with the installation of your tile. A well planned renovation is more likely to be successful in regards to the achieving your desired look of the finished project, staying on budget and on time.
Tile is a prominent fixture in your bathroom and one of the most important tips is it is good to lay out the tile in a "dry run" prior to actually mixing up the thinset and starting the install.

Another tip is that if you are planning on using pebble tile for your shower floors, you might want to use an Epoxy Grout versus a standard grout. Pebble tiles drain the water at much slower pace then the standard porcelain or ceramic tiles. Our projects at www.floorbarn.com that include shower remodels, we use Epoxy Grout on shower floors no matter what tile is used.

Another tip in regards to your tile selection for your project is that if you do choose to use a natural stone product like a travertine, it is very important that you seal it to protect the tile.

Although some sources suggest that bathing declined following the collapse of the Roman Empire, this is not completely accurate. It was actually the Middle Ages that saw the beginning of soap production, proof that bathing was definitely not uncommon. It was only after the Renaissance that bathing declined; water was feared as a carrier of disease, and thus sweat baths and heavy perfumes were preferred.-`..*
