Vinyl Flooring

At The Floor Barn, we offer a few different styles of vinyl flooring products that include Floating Waterproof Click and Lock vinyl plank and tile flooring, Glue Down Vinyl Plank and Tile flooring, and Sheet Vinyl.

The most popular product that we sell at our showroom by a large margin is the Floating Waterproof Luxury Vinyl Plank. It is a beautiful floor that looks like wood but that holds up to the everyday life issues that is thrown at it in a typical house, most commonly moisture. So if you have a home that has kids or pets that you need a floor that will hold up to spills, accidents or wet feet coming in from the backyard pool, then waterproof vinyl plank floors are more likely the product for your home than hardwood or laminate floors. They have now came out with waterproof floating vinyl tile as well if you prefer that look over the traditional tile floor.

With this kind of vinyl plank or vinyl tile flooring being 100% waterproof, you can feel comfortable installing it anywhere in your home, including mudrooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms and kitchens. With the construction of the waterproof vinyl plank and vinyl tile floors, if they are exposed to moisture, the planks or tile will not swell, buckle or loose it’s integrity.

The floating vinyl plank and tile will come in many different styles, colors and thicknesses, most either having 12 mil, 20 mil or 22 mil thick wear layers that are scratch resistant and hold up to the normal traffic of your average home and in most cases are acceptable to install in Commercial settings as well.

Glue down vinyl plank and tile flooring is similar in look and construction as the floating luxury vinyl plank floors, with a few differences. You can get the same look of wood or tile floors with individual planks and tiles, however often the glue down vinyl plank is just water resistant, not waterproof. And of course, it is installed utilizing the glue down method with an adhesive versus the floating method. Due to its construction being a little less complicated then the waterproof luxury vinyl plank, it often can be a more budget friendly option if you do not need your vinyl floors to be waterproof.

Sheet vinyl is the classic floors from decades back, but innovations over the recent years have made it possible to get affordable vinyl sheet flooring with textures and visuals that makes it look more realistic, is softer under foot, and lasts longer then most sheet vinyl we used to see installed in homes many years ago. It is a good alternative for budget conscious home owners that need a product that is water resistant in the wet areas of the home that include kitchens, bathrooms and laundry room.
