The Floor Barn, a wood flooring store Fort Worth tip:
Home Remodeling Don'ts
Whether you are just getting new hardwood floors or remodeling your kitchen, a project can be a stressful situation for all people involved. That includes the contractor as well as the home owner. The contractor is a pro and hopefully knows what to expect and how to handle it, however most of the process is new to many home owners. So how does a homeowner know what to look out for? Here a few tips:
1. Don't be a Distraction.
Don't take it personal, but most contractors want to visit with you as little as possible. Every minute he is talking with you means that is less time he is spending on completing your project. As a family owned and operated wood flooring store Fort Worth, we at The Floor Barn like to get know our clients personally, but there is a fine line having too much discussion. If a talk pertains to the project, than it is important, however don't get into full details of the neighborhood gossip and distract him from the job at hand.
2. Don't Change You Plans A Lot.
Depending on the size of the project, there will probably be a change or two during the project. A homeowner wants to make sure they get the desired outcome from the vision of the completed project. However, too many change orders can be stressful to all involved. Likely most change orders will come with scheduling changes and added costs, so plan ahead prior to start the project to help minimize those possibilities.
